Significant preparation is required for a Final Hearing. Bundles must be prepared and agreed and key documents must be drafted to assist the Trial Judge with understanding the case.
At the hearing oral evidence will be given and the Parties will be cross-examined as well as likley to be asked questions by the Judge. Frequent reference will be made to the documents that have been exchanged and produced for the hearing, often involving significant analysis of bank statements and each parties' respective proposals.
As an experienced Divorce Counsel, I am able to assist both in the preparation for and representation at the hearing through Direct Access. Preparing docuemnts for the hearing is very important to assist the Judge as much as possible; see here for more details.
This hearing is where the Judge will decide what will happen and how the assets will be divided.
Appeal may well be possible, although omissions and errors cannot always be rectified on an appeal, thus the best representation available should be secured to reduce the risk of considering the Appeal option.
